2026 SUMMER ARTS INTENSIVE

An exciting, high-energy musical theatre experience featuring acting, singing, dancing, and ensemble storytelling. The production promises to be a bold, family-friendly musical adventure. For students entering 6th – 12th Grade.

NOTE: THIS IS AN AUDITION-ONLY PROGRAM.

Program Dates:

June 15th – July 25th, 2026

Culminating performances will take place July 24th & July 25th, 2026.

2026 UPSTAGE Program

UPSTAGE is a program that aims to provide students, entering grades 8-12 in the Fall of 2026, with free training, exposure, networking, and mentorship opportunities through technical theatre learning and working in varied technical disciplines such as:

Costuming/Wigs/Specialty Makeup
Set Painting and Construction
Stage Management
Props Management

Your student will develop practical skills and work as a technician on this summer’s production of Once On This Island Jr!

Karamu Education

Karamu House offers a variety of arts education programming in facilitated and on-demand virtual course offerings. Course offerings include voice, drama, dance, and more. Additionally, Karamu offers online corporate training programs for diversity, racial and equity inclusion programming..
