The Ancestral Remembrance Gala

February 22nd

Jelliffe Theatre

Doors Open: 1p
Show Begins: 2p
Presented by Project Beautiful Organization
Directed by Dr. La’Tia E. Phillips-Bey
The Ancestral Remembrance Gala is more than an event, it is a living, breathing experience of reverence, legacy, and celebration. On this sacred evening, hearts and generations unite to honor our Ancestors, uplift our Elders, and celebrate Visionary Leaders whose brilliance continues to light the path forward.

Hosted by Project Beautiful, a nonprofit organization founded and directed by Dr. La’Tia E. Phillips-Bey, the night embodies the organization’s mission of advocating for maternal health and reducing Black infant mortality; a healing journey that restores the sacred balance between life, lineage, and love.
Through music, dance, spoken word, and storytelling, the Gala transforms into a spiritual passage of remembrance. Guests are guided through the continuum of Black unity, community, and resilience.

The Ancestral Remembrance Gala invites all to bear witness to the truth, that to honor our Ancestors is to remember our strength, to uplift our Elders is to embrace our wisdom, and to celebrate our Visionaries is to proclaim that we are the legacy they dreamed of.
