Three young ladies are in the running for the Madam C.J. Walker Scholarship Cotillion, but the guidelines for participating has them facing internal turmoil. Through the spirit of Madam C.J. Walker and the power of theatre, the young ladies learn more about themselves and uncover truths about the history of Black culture and hair. Beauty standards, family legacy, and bridging ideological generational gaps are a few of the themes explored in this metatheatrical experience.
